The Sound of Silence

I have enjoyed the sound of silence more and more in recent years.

All of the bickering and drama of the world – everywhere – can cause some people to retreat to a quiet shelter. Whether it’s in a store, on tv, at work, on social media, within your own family or friend group, there is conflict, pain, aggression and fear. You can’t escape it.

This would be the not-so-glad-game post.

Yes, it’s harder and harder for me to find things to be glad about other than the assurance of knowing that I have a Savior who promised to never leave me or forsake me and that one day I will be in a place where this broken world has passed away.

When you feel like you’re being buried alive and you can’t catch your breath, one may ask, “Is Jesus enough?”

I was recently asked this question by a faithful, Christian mentor and also by a pastor. To my great shock, they each advised me in a different way.
