Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
Matthew 12:25
I had two VIP tickets to For King & Country last night, but I couldn’t find anyone to go with me. All plans with family and friends fell through, right up until the time I arrived at the venue.
This was perfectly fine because I actually go to a lot of concerts and conferences by myself. Sometimes, it’s like I’m on a date with the Lord, there to have a special time of instruction or worship – just for me.
One of my best friends, Pam, was at the concert with her daughter, Lauren, who happens to be one of my daughter’s best friends (we had tried to plan it all together).
Lauren was in a Bible study with me for about seven years and was often at my house through middle and high school with my oldest daughter, Morgan.
Now, they are sophomores in different colleges, and I feel like I haven’t seen her since they graduated high school.
Pam insisted that Lauren come and sit with me on the second row for much of the concert because Lauren loves For King & Country!
The ironic thing is, I’ve always loved her like my own daughter and didn’t realize how much I had deeply missed her until we were standing together, worshipping the Lord, laughing and taking selfies.
It was an a-mazing concert. We had a blast!
In true Keysha fashion, all of this has little to do with my story title, except to make the point that none of us knew the opening act to For King & Country.
Bless their heart. Does anyone ever know the opening act? 😂
I recently learned that I have some temporary, decreased hearing loss in both ears, so I like to watch TV with closed captioning, and I like song lyrics on the screen at church.
When I’m hearing a new song for the first time, I don’t always understand all of the words, but I did on most of this one, Stand in Your Love.
We did figure out the opening act was Josh Baldwin and he sings this song with a little group called Bethel Music. 😂🙌🏼
This blog was born from a time when I was not able to stand physically or spiritually.
But, now I know that I can Stand in Your Love.
There are certain words and phrases in songs and scripture that will always catch my attention – especially when they relate to my personal testimony.
I took notice when I also heard the word, “fear” (see related posts below).
After looking up the lyrics, the first three lines perfectly fit with my story, and so does the rest!

(These are the lyrics:)
When darkness tries to roll over my bones
When sorrow comes to steal the joy I own
When brokenness and pain is all I know
.
Oh, I won’t be shaken, no, I won’t be shaken
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love!
.
Shame no longer has a place to hide
I am not a captive to the lies
I’m not afraid to leave my past behind
Oh, I won’t be shaken, no, I won’t be shaken!
.
‘Cause my fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love!
Oh, I’m standing
There’s power that can break off every chain
There’s power that can empty out a grave
There’s resurrection power that can save
There’s power in Your name, power in Your name
There’s power that can break off every chain
There’s power that can empty out a grave
There’s resurrection power that can save
There’s power in Your name, power in Your name!
.
My fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
Oh, my fear doesn’t stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
I stand in Your love
Standing on the rock
Oh, I’m standing, standing in Your love
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

- He KNEW who his God was!
- He KNEW he could stand in His power!
- He KNEW his God loved Israel.
- He KNEW that giant would crumble under the great I AM.
